When it comes to Pop Culture in Africa, NAICCON (Nairobi Comic Convention) have risen above the rest. Since their inception back in 2014, NAICCON have held 7 very successful pop culture events. These events have attracted over 6000 gamers, illustrators, artists among other creatives.
The Nairobi Comic Convention by NAICCON has been that one event that every gamer or pop culture enthusiast has always looked forward to. This year’s however is a bit different but at the same time very exciting.
Due to the COVID pandemic all over the world, the organizers of this year’s event saw it fit to provide everyone who was looking forward to the convention a platform where people will interact and at the same time delivering a classy convention.
This year’s convention will be all-digital and has been dubbed ‘COM-Econ 2020’, running from the 5th-8th of November. The 4-day digital convention will see exhibitors/vendors and participants register for free via www.naiccon.co.ke and tune it to www.comecon.africa to experience it.
The invited guests include writer and actor Tracy Scott, Comic book writers Andy Lanning, Ron Marz and David Walker. eSports will have guest from Fnatic in the UK, White Rabbit in South Africa & Anubis from Egypt.
